Challenge
A shared terrace is an assembly load category, not a roof; a curtain wall tolerates no edge deflection; the architect’s files also contained the car park and the neighbouring building.
Solution
Terrace slab designed for category C3 with the architect’s build-ups. Edge beam under the facade with deflection controlled to the system supplier’s limits. Only the pavilion geometry extracted from the architecture file.
